Sydney Turns 3!!

It is hard to believe that my baby girl is 3! We had a birthday party for her on Saturday and it was a lot of fun. Her Nana (Danny's mom) rented a bounce house and it was a hit! She played for hours and at one point came to me and said, "I am all sweaty!!" :) Sydney loves bugs, especially lady bugs and "polly pollys" so we did a ladybug themed party. I was nervous about the cake but it turned out good and Sydney loved it. She said, "Wow, that's cool." Words a Mom always wants to hear! She was a little stinker when it came to present time and had a grouchy face throughout the whole thing. Danny and I were mortified, but luckily our friends and family are good sports and did not take offense. I asked her the next day why she was so mad and she said, "Cuz everyone was taking pictures and laughing at me. I don't like that!" So our little girl is a shy lady bug! We all know that is not from me. :)
Her actual birthday was on Sunday so I took the leftover daisy cupcakes in to Nursery and they sang Happy Birthday. Sydney was very grateful for the whole weekend and kept saying, "I love you Mommy." Now she is outside riding her new bike from Grandma Shannon with Daddy. I can hear her screams of joy! I love this smart, beautiful, funny and stubborn girl. I am so blessed to be her Mommy.

A good end to a good day. She fell asleep watching Princess and the Frog at about 6:30pm.

What's New

I meant to post about Easter, but since it was weeks ago, oh well!! I recently went back to work after 3 years and I am still getting used to juggling it. It is only 2 days a week and I am selling again at Nordstrom's. I am enjoying it more than I thought I would, especially the dressing up part. For 2 days a week I am able to be more than a mom and dress is something besides jeans & a t-shirt. The icing on the cake is that Danny is home with my babies so they are in good hands. He has proven to be a better stay-at-home mom than me, making snacks, playing games and keeping them on nap schedules. What a stud!! Here are a few pictures of my darlings, aren't they cute?!
